I like to think of a photo session with me more like a date night with a third wheel (a really good third wheel).
I like to involve lots of movement and things that make you YOU. Whether that means going for a bike ride or grabbing a cup of coffee - I want to capture photos of couples in their element. So pretend you're on a date. Hug and kiss and laugh and play and act like I'm not even there. And it's the same for weddings. The authentic and genuine emotion of the day is what I want. Looking through photos should be able to tell a story that evokes FEELING.

A pretty venue and lots of flowers make for good photos but the emotions and in between moments is what makes great photos. That's where I come in. My favorite part about photography is the ability to use these photos to tell a story and evoke some real emotion. Anyone who wasn't there should FEEL like they were. I know what it's like to look at a photo and be taken back to that exact moment and that's what I want for you too.

let me tell you about my best friend...
My husband, Scott, is the secret sauce in my business recipe. He doesn't know much about this photo stuff but he's always ready to listen to me talk about it. (Thank goodness, because I do that a lot). I truly wouldn't be where I am today without his consistent support. When I told him I was leaving the 9 to 5 life to pursue photography full-time, his first words were "let me know how I can help." I knew he was a keeper ;)
When I'm not rambling to him about how a session went or showing him all the sneak peeks, we like to spend our free time traveling, playing tennis, attempting to try new meals through Hello Fresh, and most importantly, giving our lil' weenie dogs all the cuddles their hearts desire.
I've always loved photography growing up - the first time I got a cellphone with a camera, I was always looking for the next best background photo to take. Professionally though, it all started back in college when friends asked me to take graduation photos for them. By word of mouth, I was soon being asked by total stangers...and the rest is history!
