Foggy East Coast Engagement

It was pouring down rain the evening I was supposed to shoot Maddie and Neil’s engagement session. They had traveled to me all the way from Tampa — luckily they had a place to stay that night, but it meant we had to make sunrise work no matter what!

I had high hopes for a gorgeous morning golden hour for the two of them – it’s usually always the best following a day of rain. After an hour of driving through dark fog though, I arrived at Black Rock Beach and realized the doom and gloom wasn’t going anywhere.

But who needs sunshine when you have a glowing couple like Maddie and Neil to do all the work? These two KILLED it. Living near the beach my whole life, it’s easy to get a little bored with the beach sessions but this foggy morning was like no other beach shoot I’d had in a long time. And I gotta say, I’m a sucker for the Pacific Northwest vibes these photos give off. Everyone knows the PNW is my favorite. 😉

The weather here in Jacksonville, Florida is never predictable but it certainly does provide the opportunity for me to capture some variety, and I’m here for it. Hopefully, all my couples are too! LOL

We're a good fit if...

01.

Your photos are a priority for you. At the end of the day, photos are all you have left to remember the good times. I don't take that responsibility lightly.

02.

You value the real and authentic. Don't worry, you can trust me to capture the poses, but the in-between, imperfect moments are my favorite and I hope they are yours too.

03.

You like to have fun and be yourself. On paper I stay professional, but in real life I'm an awkward dork. Embrace your inner dork with me and let's make some magic!

thank you
